Real Grief – Real Healing, with Mindy Corporon #29 | Healing a Shattered Soul

“Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature.” This is the definition of domestic terrorism provided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

In episode 29, titled “How It Came To Be”, I introduce you to my faithful journey of courageous kindness after the trauma and grief of domestic terrorism.

If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone.

While I mention past hate crimes, such as Ahmaud Arbery, Heather Heyer, Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Srinivas Kutchibhotla and the Tree of Life Synagogue, the most recent hate crimes are freshly claiming a space in my heart. The murders in Atlanta and Boulder on March 16 and March 22, 2021, respectively, have garnered our attention and deserve continued discussion.

Healing a Shattered Soul “provides an insider’s view of a mother’s grief, a daughter’s sorrow, and activist’s intention, a leader’s calling, and a woman’s grit”, said Alana Muller about my memoir. And Peggy J Dunn, mayor of Leawood, Kansas explains “Mindy has given birth to a movement that is focusing on kindness and love, making our world a far better place for one and all.”

When you read my story I pray you find the inspiration needed to make changes in your life which will create a positive ripple for yourself and others.

Together, we are better.
